Analysis Review – Sonic And The Black Knight Wii Game

Sonic the hedgehog the game’s most famous and, along with Mario (and with the permission of another), the most charismatic character in the history of videogames, is back once again to Nintendo Wii in a medieval style adventure arturiano, but true to the saga, holds the essence of the Sonic games.
Eighteen years after the debut of the hedgehog, the team has developed Sonic Team Sonic And The Black Knight Wii, a fully 3D adventure (as things have changed from those in the 2D Sonic that we were going from left to right of the screen) in which our protagonist meets with King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.
The magical world of Camelot, is under the power of the Dark Knight Black. This character has caught several people in the kingdom and Sonic, along with their friends, you need to free them.
As you will see, the argument is who is to take the Oscar for screenplay, but often occurs in this type of game where you bet more to the gameplay and fun that the development of the plot.
Playability
This paragraph is almost identical to Sonic and the Secret Rings, Wii game coming in a couple of years ago. A time to play it, go forward, ran and jumped with Sonic dimensional environments, while the camera is placed behind us.
The main novelty is the addition of a sword, it will almost always. It is a medieval sword, called Caliburn and talks. To use it, use the Wiimote, making movements as if it were a sword in our hand movements are translated on the screen making a soft Sonic Caliburn to one side to another. To make that kind of attack as the sword, you will need to see a special bar on the screen reaches a certain level.
One aspect of the obstacles in playable Sonic And The Black Knight Wii is that the game is perhaps too linear. This means that there are different routes or paths to choose and will be continuing a pattern established.
Moreover, it is remarkable the high degree of replay value, so that we can return to play, despite having completed the game, to complete other aspects. For example, some levels can be played over and over again to get them a rating as high as possible. There are also unlockables that we can tackle missions once we have completed the game.

Besides the adventure mode, main mode of play, we meet the Battle mode. In this mode, enter the multiplayer option, since it can directly compete in battles against friends or play in cooperative mode, faced with various monsters.
Although there is no online multiplayer, it is possible to enter an overall rating. Based on our results in the game, or turn a position in a ranking made by players around the world.
Before commenting on the technical point of Sonic And The Black Knight Wii, that have added several customization options. In the game, the endearing Tails, will smith, and allow us to choose between several types of weapon, armor and other objects. It must be said that one of the strengths of the game is the large amount of collectibles that will unlock.
Technical
Without doubt, the best of the title are the graphics and sound. The guys from Sonic Team have done a great job here, making it visually, Sonic And The Black Knight Wii looks very good. The modeling is great characters and scenarios presented an acceptable level of textures. The truth is that at all times we will see a mix of environments and the medieval look of the classic Sonic games appealing in the sea.
The music, meanwhile, is sensational. The composer Richard Jacques Crush 40 and the group meet to shape a banda sonora excelente. Topics of high quality is Iran going, harmonious interlacing of the compass heading.
Conclusions
Sonic expands its legend, this time in a new context, the historical King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.
However, Sonic And The Black Knight Wii is full of shadows. On the one hand, the argument is poorly developed and the idea is not that innovative. The gameplay, it may be something simple, and it follows a formula that we have seen in other titles starring the hedgehog. The main novelty is the addition of the sword, whose control, the truth may be somewhat repetitive.
On the other hand we have a great technical section. Graphics and sound are perfectly blended to give a great atmosphere to the game.
In conclusion, Sonic And The Black Knight Wii is a new version of the saga that is compliant but lets some clouds due to a lack of ambition by Sonic Team, especially at component playable. Come to the notes:

Review Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity PS2 (Part 2)
As an addition to the new history and monitoring difficulties Wii, Zero Gravity makes use of new mechanisms for the game, including the use of “Gravity.” The new control system of the gravity of Sonic Riders Sonic and allows your computer to alter the time, rushing like a bullet in a direction, this system replaces the classic turbo the first delivery, and allows us to make a quick turn, reach a shortcut to it in the normal way we could not, or impulses. The idea works, but without becoming the impulse is a useful tool, but ends up giving the impression that the game becomes slower while we perform more precise movements.

A new meter for the momentum, although it is more like a change of state as the turbo meter exactly. When you begin to use to fly through the air, using the Wiimote or the slope of the analog control of PS2, respectively, while fly if clash against objects weighing a little bar in addition to a new momentum. As movement in this state is quite limited, we will use in sections of standard keys (now, the areas that are marked with the icon of the pulse), so for the race we will be without the turbo, at least part where you will use each turn. As a result we feel less free and more slowly, ignoring the efforts of the first delivery.
Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity also features a system of improving our team, which is based on accumulating rings to improve our table throughout the race. In principle, a brilliant idea, but we will see its implementation. Each player has three improvements, we can not choose and pay for skills is not dramatically high. The boots give a +1 speed, almost negligible, and techniques such as the grinder on the rails need a specific number of rings to be unlocked so that we can not use this ability until the last lap, the other vehicles, allowing us to fly, take shortcuts, but with the feeling of going down (for the Sonic games).
In appearance, not many changes, we will see an improvement in graphic detail, some impressive work on the part of CG (Sonic Team has always been known for that), and some designs also very generic, with the new enemies of Zero Gravity who are extremely simple. Furthermore, during most of the game we will be fighting an army of robots instead of the traditional enemies of Sonic, the game loses the feeling that we are playing a Sonic. That said, the visual aspect is still vibrant, the ratio of the frames steady and solid, and is one of the titles from SEGA tricksters in both PS2 and Wii in, if only I had the speed and control …
With the online mode, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity does not have it. Although this should not be a problem for Wii or PS2. Even so we can play locally with more than 15 tracks to choose from (each with its tables and vehicles), but ultimately the game falls short.
In conclusion, it is the second installment of Sonic Riders we have seen, while the corridor has the potential to be good to be the last. We do not deny that we can find entertainment in a Sonic game, their heart rates, but Sonic Riders franchise has tried twice, failing both as regards the sensation of speed and control. There are some very interesting concepts in the Zero Gravity to stop time, but generally gives the impression that we are involved in a race of 50cc karts, there’s something wrong with the design. The level is correct, but the tricks (tricks) basa only just squeeze in at the break, to do it properly, and the improvement of the team tactics but lacked the concept is not bad. I think now is the time to think if SEGA should return to its roots …

My ratings for Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity Wii
Playability: 5.0
Control is difficult, even with the PS2, with many graphical elements that only work on a conceptual level. The game is too slow for a Sonic
Graphics: 7.0
Zero Gravity keeps the same aspects Sonic Riders, adding more effects when using gravity.
Sound: 6.5
For better or worse. Sonic talk and are now accompanied by a generic rock music.
Difficulty: Easy / Medium
The speed of the game makes it less complicated, although the difficulty in controlling what hinders.
Multiplayer: 5.0
Although we have a multiplayer mode, no online mode, so after playing the game at times becomes repetitive
Conclusion: 5.0
Zero Gravity is the second installment of Sonic Riders, but the graphics are fairly made, controls the elusive and little sense of speed, we will be away from the feeling of playing Sonic.

Review Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity PS2 (Part 1)
When Sonic Riders came out at the end of time for Game Cube, the reception was not expected by the critics or the fans of Sonic. The gameplay was simple, design a little loose and the result was a racing game starring Sonic that did not become a linchpin for Game Cube.

Now, building on the success of Wii, and confidence in the sales of games for PS2, SEGA is back with a new version of Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. Although the final result is yet more of the same mixed with new concepts in the gameplay.
Just like its predecessor Sonic Rivals: Zero Gravity is essentially a racing game built in the world of the blue hedgehog. Since the design is not much compared with the other Sonics (speed part, of course) the game ends much like Mario Kart or Crash Team Racing, so we have a new experience with the characters already known. The story plot is fairly basic, focusing on a bracelet that can alter gravity. With an organization of evil lurks, Sonic will have to give their best to avoid if it falls into their possession.
The level of detail is interesting, but the sensation of speed.
Story to share, Zero Gravity is basically the same design as the original. Sprint for the courses, take rings, improving our table – and we wonder … how is it that the fastest animal is a carrier board and not running? – In an attempt to get first tracks through a design with a maddening style Extreme G for N64.
In aspects that it fell short Sonic Riders, Zero Gravity loose again, while the speed of the table is too slow for our liking and the domain of control is a bit difficult, by tilting the Wiimote or the analog control we find that the PS2 is a little slippery at high speeds.
For some reason, the turn is not enough work, with characters we meet as Nuckels crashing against the walls at high speeds because its angle of rotation is not sufficient, and for users of Wii, we find that the movement of command to turn is extremely higher than what we are accustomed. Even Sonic and the Secret Rings had better controls to Zero Gravity.
