Gadgetz Review: ORIGIN EON 15

Why would one want a high end portable gaming laptop that costs twice as much as a good gaming desktop and will be used half as much? Well, I cant give you an answer without getting fingers pointed at so I will just leave you here with the review of the latest gaming laptop from ORION called EON 15.
This is a 15 inch screened laptop with a Intel Core i7 processor. It has the latest 5670 graphics video card from ATi. It has a 4 GB RAM, that can be extended to 16 GB. It is very heavy, much heavier than any laptop that we have held in our hands in the past five years. The display is a beautiful 1080p full screen HD, thou the screen is small, there is no problem playing games on it. The keypad is convenient and the mouse pad is large with an unusual texture.
Most of the high graphics intensive games perform fairly well on this laptop and will be in a position to run any game in the market in the two or three years to come. Hence if you are looking for a Gaming Laptop that is top of the line and can do its basic stuff right, then this is it.

Ten Free PSP games

If you are planning to buy a PSP game console and you happen to be living or planning on visiting Europe soon, then now is the time and it cannot get any better than this. Sony has the plans to unveil PSPgo which comes with 10 free games!
Any registration after the 1st of April in the PSN online network will get 10 games in the digital format. And not just older tiles will be for download, even brand new titles and popular titles will be available for every PSP registered after April 1st.
The whole list of downloadable games is not known yet but games developed by Sony such as Little Big Planet, ModNation will be available and other games such as 2010 Fifa World cup and Gran Turismo will be available for download and cherish.
This is not the first time that Sony is giving away free games. During the launch of PSPgo, copies of Gran Turismo were given and this was followed by three free games to the same customers. Apparently their idea is to make the current customers happy and new customers will come. It is no surprise that Sony is so happy with their European Customers since this is the only place where PSPgo sales are constant and this is the only place where hopes of any improvement can be seen.

Gadget Review: Flip Side HD

After taking over 40% of the shoot & share video cam market, the makers of Flip Side HD have the freedom to experiment with new design factors. This camera is designed keeping in mind the playback factor more than the shooting aspect with the tilt screen.
At the core the Flip Side HD is just a repackaged Flip Mino HD with the same resolution of recording and uploading. The screen is a 3 inch resistive touch screen that is designed more for viewing purposes. There are no record and stop buttons here as in the Flip Mino HD and the user interface has not been refined for touch screen use, hence it leads to difficulty in recording. The screen is bright enough and has controls on screen for the different aspects of controlling.
Another biggest problem with this camera is the $300 price which can get you a fully fledged camera that has better lenses, better sensors, better video and many more features that are missing here. Even in comparison to the $150 price tag on the younger Flip Mino HD, this thing is not worth the money spent. Hence go for other better options if you just want to shoot and share, but if you are really the kind who likes to rerun your recent recording, then just go for this camera.

Rumors of Killzone 3 Take shape

It’s almost certain that a Killzone game sequel is in the works and is close to being officially announced by Sony. Like its predecessors, this game has been able to generate the hype necessary to make it a debut hit. But if it will be a long running hit as the first killzone, only time will tell. The game has managed to leak a few details about the game play.
The game has various new features such as jetpack. This jetpack is supposed to be easily maneuverable and shockingly lightweight as opposed to the stupid jetpacks found in other games. The game is supposedly being made in 2D and 3D as well and is termed as a game changer. Most of the other parts of the game play are the same with improvement to hand to hand combat where more different attacks are added to the list of different attacks. The game’s graphic designers have tried to make the outdoors look out of this world to give you an otherworldly feeling.
Thou these features may or may not be available, it will be revealed during the E3 gamer expo in a few weeks and action game addicts are waiting eagerly for its release.

Gadget Review: Asus Eee PC 1201N

This is the latest update to the Asus Eee netbook from ASUS that is trying to penetrate the nonexistent netbook market. It still does not solve the netbook versus tablet debate.

Asus Eee PC 1201N is a slim 1.3” thick netbook with up to 8 hours battery life and a 2 GB or RAM that can be increased to 8 GB, this makes this quite fast. The processor is an Intel dual core Atom 1.3 GHz processor with L2 cache. The screen is a 12” LCD that is a slight increase from the 10” found in the older ASUS Eee PC’s and has vibrant colors. The keyboard is well placed and easy to use. The touch pad is responsive and supports multi touch. The time it takes to boot into the operating system is about 40 seconds. It is even capable of running high graphics games at low clarity such as Team Fortress 2. The PCMark vantage scores were average and are sufficient for a netbook.
The laptop is a fair dealt at $450 and performs at optimum speed. Hence if you are looking for a laptop to browse and for medium multimedia use, then this laptop is perfect.

Game Review: Rocket Knight

Rocket Knight is an action adventure game available for Xbox 360, PS3and PC’s. It is developed by Climax and published by Genesis. It is a modern day sequel of the popular 1993 original Rocket Knight.
It can be best defined as a horizontally scrolling shooter and at most of the times a vertical-scrolling plat former. It is a beautiful looking game with impressive graphics and game art with its colorful characters, vibrant backgrounds and remember-able bosses which makes this game worth the download. The game levels are neatly designed where new comers can take each level at a time and adjust to the classic game-play and the veterans can jump to the tougher arcade mode and test their skills.
The time taken to complete the entire game is just two hours in arcade mode which is one of the biggest drawbacks of this game since games which cost just as same will run for a whole day of constant playing. Whereas a few people might miss the sensation of jet setting that was available in the 1993 classic game.
It the short game play can overcome the addiction of the classic Rocket Knight game, this is a good investment for a short while to feel nostalgic.

Review: Red dead Redemption

Red Dear redemption is the second part of the 2004 hit Red Dear Revolver from Rockstar Games. It is an action/adventure game set across the lawless and chaotic lands at the turn of the 20th century. Fans of GTA IV beware that this is not your cup of tea and there is nothing for you here. It is a fulfilled western open world that is enjoyable to roam around with a loaded gun.

It tells a tale filled with humor, violence, and emotion of an outlaw named John Martson whose duty is to kill his ex-gang mates in exchange for his family’s liberty. The voice work is the best among the recent games and the lip synching and facial simulations are flawless. The ending of this bold and violent epic has a joyous and surprising conclusion than seen in any recent adventure game.

The game world is the biggest compared to other games of similar proportions and ranges from snowy mountain passes, extensive plains and blazing cactus filled deserts. The character encounters geographically specific animals that either go on about their own business or attack you. There are many side missions that involve hunting or collecting wild flowers that can earn the gamer money. Travelling and saving can be done through camp fires that allows for instant teleportation between the staggering distances.

Combat is brought to life here by the euphoria engine that brings the characters to life and improves upon the GTA4 with hilarious and brutal results. The attention to the horses is amazing and the level of attention paid to the act of getting on top of a horse in one fluid motion is totally delightful.

Gadget Review: Nintendo DSi XL

Nintendo has been dominating over the handheld Game console marked since 1990’s with the Gameboy which was followed by the Advance SP, Micro, DS Lite and the DSi. Nintendo with its revolutionary gaming systems has been dominating the market and the latest improvement over its all too popular handheld DS lite and DSi seems to be repeating history.

The Nintendo DSi XL is a DSi on growth hormones. It’s phenomenally designed at 6.3 inches long to 3.6 inches wide with a 4.2 inch LCD screen. The Nintendo has smooth rounded corners with the ports at the same places as in the DSi and DS lite.

Nintendo DSi XL’s gaming experience is a repeat of the revolutionary gaming experience from DS lite and DSi. The same games that are designed for the older DS also work for this newer and improved console. No wonder it is out selling its competition world over. An exceptional improvement is seen here in the audio speaker department where the audio quantity is sized up considerably so that no headphones need to be used.

Thou not a worthwhile upgrade from Nintendo DSi; the DSi XL is a solid handheld and stacks up among the best products that Nintendo has to offer. The Nintendo DSi XL being a portable console is far too bulky to be carried along in pockets a major trade off considering the alternatives.

Game Review: Mirror’s Edge

There are many unique and appealing aspects of Mirror’s Edge that will keep you mesmerized as well as quite impressed with the game. This is a game that is available on iPad and it is not a cash-in mobile version of the platformer game that it originally was. It is a game that is quite unique and distinctive, which is very appealing. This would not have been possible without the touch mechanics that drive the game. Mirror’s Edge is a game that asks for more money than what is average, but you would do well to know that it is quite worth it given its features as well as unique aspects.

For one, the game is very streamlined and also a good sequel to Mirror’s Edge which some people are clear is better than the original. In addition to this, it also has very simple touch controls that can help to make good use of the complex platforming that is involved in the game. Mirror’s Edge is also able to function well on the iPad screen. On the other hand, the combat in the game is quite unnecessary and it also has a higher than usual price that nay seem problematic for some folks.

Game review: Street Fighter

Street Fighter is a game from Capcom that has fired the imagination of lots of users and avid gamers. And this is quite something that is attributable to the fact that Capcom has been changing and tweaking as well as rebalancing the game at its very base quite effectively. There are as many as many new fighters in the game and a number of discrepancies have been adjusted so that the balance between the old and the new, the traditional and the contemporary may be established and also maintained. It seems that Street Fighter will be one of the best values for money games that you can watch out for over the course of the year.

The advantage of the game is that the roster balance is improved as well as online modes that allow a lot of group play. In addition you have new fighters that offer various play styles. On the other hand the trial mode also has a demo move feature which is not all that great. As far as the roster goes, Hakan is also an odd addition which is not very explicable and stands out as a sore thumb. The game has a lot of aspects that are refreshingly new and will surely catch your eye immediately.
