Game Review: Prison Break
There are some games that are popular TV series, and when users want to get back to the show even after it has stopped airing. They can relive the magic by means of the online games that are created around the TV shows that had gained iconic status. One such game is Prison Break, which makes it possible for fans to get into the Fox Penitentiary and enjoy the proceedings of the goings on there. For one, the character voices that have been taken in from the TV series add to the authenticity of the game. The game also throws a fresh perspective on the storyline of the game, which is all so alluring. On the other hand, some say that the versus mode on the game is boring and the combat is also not up to expectations.
Prison Break is also damned by critics who say it does not have much value play. Again, the action is said to be a just hold a candle to Splinter Cell clone, and it lacks the thrills and the chills of that game. Here, it seems you have to complete a list of routine and boring tasks that get you almost nowhere. And even if you are a great fan of the TV show, it’s not enough, is it?

Game review: Toy Soldiers
Signal Studios is one game design studio that has seen to have a lot of success in designing games that delight the masses. One such game is that of Toy Soldiers where the tin troops are seen to travel from the trenched to toy boxes. This is a World War I tower defense game which has arcade style shooting sequences that are all so inimitable. There are many who feel that Toy Soldiers is a game that proves that good things often come in very small packages. The pros of this game are that you can jump into units to fire at the enemies and at the same time it is possible to control tanks and the biplanes that are all so miniature in nature. The game has very strong replay value too.
But the problem is that you cannot save during a battle and there is no co-op play option. The battlefields are also rather small. You can directly attack waves of soldiers as they try to storm your defenses and make you quite feel in charge of the situation. The game also has a brief tutorial which you can play to get a look and feel of the game, such that there is no confusion later.

Game Review: Yakuza 3
Sega knows how to surprise and delight its fans. And there have been many fans indeed of Yakuza, that Japanese character who has won many hearts on Western shores. Now that 2 installments of Yakuza had already been served up, many Western fans never expected Sego to bring in the 3rd version of this widely and even wildly popular game. So when Sega has brought Yakuza 3 to the PS3, it has wowed and delighted many of the vast legions of fans. The fan base may be modest but it is extremely strong and also devout, if you may use the word. The Yakuza 3 does not disappoint as it has a host of mini games that are designed to please gamers and also a vastly improved camera system that is all so enjoyable. The presentation in the 3d version is also quite mature and fantastic.
There are some aspects that do not appeal to fans. For one, the chase battles are quite dull and a part of the game has also been cut off from the US version of the game. The game also needs a lot of concentration and if you have a short attention span just cut the game out from your list.

Game review: White Knight Chronicles
The White Knight Chronicles game has both single role playing as well as online co-operative question options, which are not so nice, but which need to be taken into account so as to assess the utility and the efficacy of the game. The game has quite a few plus as well as minus points that need to be taken into account. For one the game has nifty and customizable villages that make the game so much more interesting. In addition to this, there are challenging online quests as well as compelling crafting too which mean that it does justice to you entertainment needs.
On the cons or the scope for improvement side, the game is dull as dirt in terms of the plot and the characters could have been better designed. There are many social tools that are feature rich and which make the game quite complicated. The hero takes center stage and you are sometimes relegated to the background. The game tries to straddle the worlds of single player and multi player modes, but does nothing like the Jean Claude Van Damme kind of effect. Straddling both the disparate worlds is not the easiest thing and this is woefully evident in the game here.

Game review: Again
Cing is one of the most exciting game design teams ever. They have been creators of cult hits like Trace Memory as well as Hotel Dusk: Room 215 which has been smash hits as far as online games go. There is no wonder then that a lot of folks have been following the exploits and the offerings of Cing quite keenly. Now they have come up with a murder Mystery which is called Again. This is like an interactive crime novel. For the pros, Again is like prime time crime dramas with its sleep aesthetic as well as design elements. There is active crime solving that you can do, and as this straddles the past and the present, it is quite a lot of fun.
The problem is there are many cons also. The crime solving can get monotonous and clunky as well as dull as it is excessively convoluted. The plot and the dialogue are not as spicy as they could be. The execution of the game is much worse than what was on offer earlier. Cing is said to be one of the team’s last projects and could be the very last offering that could be launched in the US.

Game review: Darksiders
There are a lot of games that have been released in the new year which depict the classical fight and the struggle between good and evil, darkness and light, God and devil. These are known as the ecumenical forces, the quintessential conflict between the good and the bad. This is what is promised in Darksiders which is a new Holy war version of a game. There are some aspects of the game that are good. For one, it is familiar, which means that you are in known territory and do not have to blunder on in new arenas. Similarly, this game is also a good concept for a sequel, which means that it is quite great for those who want to enjoy the salient aspects of the game that they had liked earlier.
The cons of the game are that it is not unique and does not really stand out from other games that have come in previously. The combat seems to be sound as far as technicalities go, but it is quite shallow. The lack of originality is one of the main drawbacks of the game as it draws inspiration from other games released previously. But all in all, it is a pleasant game with its moments of thrill and engagement which can hold you quite mesmerized.

Resonance of Fate: Game Review
The Resonance of Fate game is replete with gun slinging action which is wild and which merges with Japanese role playing settings that are quite traditional. This is a game which has come about as collaboration between Sega as well as Tri-Ace and there are quite a few labyrinths of rules and regulations, difficulty levels and also techniques that need to be mastered to play this game well. Only hardcore game fans would love these games and be able to come up trumps. There are those who find the hand holding that goes into Final Fantasy quite tedious which is why they may just about like Resonance of Fate quite a bit.
The Resonance of Fate game packs a serious punch in the form of high flying gun play. This is also an incredibly lengthy adventure filled game than can captivate your senses. This is quite a heaven for those who are hardcore game lovers and challenge seekers in online games. Those who are not hardcore game lovers would hate the 60-hour exercise as being quite painful to mention the least. The story and graphics are rather mediocre and the combat system is so very complicated and also unforgiving.

Game review: Cave Story
The game of Cave Story is making a comeback after a period of five years and this is a console debut for the game. The game now has upgraded features like better graphics and also music, which adds to the appeal of the game. The side scrolling effects are okay, but when you look at some of the graphics issues, you realize that there are some things that are yet to be perfected in the game. If you look at the positives of the game, you see that the stages of the game are well defined and as the game goes on progressing, the pace increases and becomes more hectic. The levels go up and you have to strive to keep pace with the game. The art and the music of the game seem whimsical. But they are quite distinctive too. The choice of weapons is greatly expanded to help you get a better gaming experience.
On the cons, you will find that this Wii game has many bugs. One of the bugs freezes the game totally. The tracks may be good, but the audio mixing is seen to hobble the new soundtrack. So be wary of the bugs and the bad audio and you can enjoy the Cave Story.

Game review: Dead Or Alive Paradise
There are sometimes when you want to forget to all, pack your bags and just go on a vacation. These are times when you just want to enjoy yourself in a no holds barred way, such that there is a great deal of joy, fun and frolic that you enjoy. This is one of the main aspects of the Dead or Alive Paradise game which is quite warm and sunny, with bikini babes playing volleyball and beckoning you to inimitable pleasures. The game has a wonderful plot which is quite delightful to mention the least. You have to engage with the babes and get them to like you enough as to allow you to let you take pictures of them in their sexiest bikinis.
It almost seems as if Dead or Alive Paradise is made by the makers of Girls Gone Wild, the way the girls act and preen as well as strut their stuff all around the place. There is no doubt that it is not an easy task to attract the girls and charm your way to their hearts. It is almost like you have to do it with flowers and gifts because there is nothing that can delight a girl more than going easy on the purse strings, absolutely.

Tales of Monkey Island
There are some games that lots of people are nervous about. This happens when people are not sure as to how a new game will really pan out and how it will be as compared to the original version. This is especially so when the original version was nothing great to write home about and needed to be propped about to be even remembered for whatever qualities that it had. One of these games is Tales of Monkey Island that was a game that was following the rather insipid game called Escape from Monkey Island. That was a most forgettable game and now the new game was also coming from a new studio, which as Telltale games and not LucasArts. These were the factors that were complicating matters related to Tales of Monkey Island.
It seems there was no need for any caution because the game Tales of Monkey Island is quite an interesting as well as worthy successor to the previous game. The game has a very cohesive feel even though it is told in parts and it can be enjoyed even if you have not played earlier games. It can be played by newcomers and you would do well to plunge into the game as a new player as it can enhance your gaming experience by several notches.
