Game Review: Fret Nice

There are some games that are quite inimitable as well as exquisite in terms of characteristics and features. One of these games is Fret Nice which is based on musical content and elements that are based on a guitar based game. This is a game that has s control method that is quite unique and also a soundtrack that is Great Greek-rock in nature. The graphics are also vibrant and stylish too. But some people feel that the game is better off without guitar controls as well as a simple platformer that is simple and easy to use. The problem with the replaying levels which seem to get a bit old and hackneyed.

The Fret Nice game is a 2d downloadable game which has at its very core a platforming game which is side scrollable. It is possible to use the Rock Band or Guitar Hero controller that is quite amazing, to say the least. The fret keys are able to move left and right and when you are in the air after tilting the guitar neck up, you can play the guitar thereby destroying your enemies quite with aplomb. All of these features and elements make Fret Nice quite an enjoyable and lovable game that you should check out.

Game review: Fat Princess

Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake is a lovely treat of a game that is quite lovely and also wonderful in its charms and in this it is quite comparable to small Snickers that you can expect at Halloween. But then you are not to get much of a short shift when it comes to the supply of goodies when you play this game. This is now a game that is quite updated as well as new handheld version that is not only able to hold its own but also ensure that you get all the thrills and the frills that you will expect from a cute game such as this. The game is now a fully stuffed multi-player version that has a number of brand sequences that are quite brand new and also very refreshing, to say the least. This is a gameplay that is well adapted to fit to a platform that is quite handheld. In addition to this you also see that it has a wonderful and upgraded port and also PSP content that is value rich as well as exclusive.

On the other hand the game also has its share of pitfalls. For one it does not have a headset support and this is what makes strategizing rather tough. In addition to this the overhead map is also very invasive and you do not have AI squad commands.

Infinity Ward employees join competitor

It seems the war between Infinity Ward will leave Infinity Ward quite deserted if one is to believe reports. There was a huge spat between Activision which owns Infinity Ward and its leadership team of Jason West and Vince Zampella. The two were said to have been conducting anti-company activities and inciting employees of Infinity Ward against Activision. The two were also accused of promising to start their own company and absorb employees from Infinity Ward. And this is precisely what has happened. Jason and Vince have now stared a new company by the name of Respawn and it is also being seen that Respawn is attracting and actively poaching Infinity Ward employees with each passing day.

The number of employees ditching Infinity Ward to join up with Jason and Vince at Respawn includes lead designer Mackey McCandlish, programmer Jon Shiring and others like software engineer Rayme C. Vinson, just to name a few. All the people who have been joining Respawn were quiet about their future plans after the formation of Respawn and it is speculated that they were just waiting till their offers from Respawn was finalized. It is also said that the employees of Infinity Ward were firmly behind Vince and Jason who are said to be excellent at their job and command great respect among game designers.

Game review: Chaos Rising

This is a sequel to Dawn of War II and the game of Chaos Rising adds some extra chaos into the hybrid gameplay of the RTS/RPG game. There are so many things like new maps and new units as well as level cap that is raised. All of this helps to give a dark and foreboding turn to the storyline. These are some of the elements that the expansion of the game is seen to afford. This is game that has many good points. For one, it is a new story that has many new characters as well. In addition to this it has very good variation as far as missions and maps are concerned. The corruption in the game makes it like Warhammer with its classic attractions.

On the other hand, the game has a short campaign which is solo and it can be quite taxing and demanding on players. The corruption is also seen to affect the focus that gamers have with respect to the game. In any case there are so many new elements that are brought to the fore that will be able to captivate gamers and keep them spell bound to the game. This is what is quite unique about the game which will ensure that gamers come back for more.

Game review: Samurai Shodown Sen

The Samurai Shodown Sen game is one which exists in three dimensions. There are some ideas that are new as well as interesting which are in the fighting genre. But the balance as well as the execution of the game leave a lot to be desired. For one, the game has a strong core concept as well as good finishers that are quite gory for effect. In addition to this there is also a sense of weight as well as momentum that are required for the game. The cons of the game are that it has a combo system that is rather imbalanced and its sidestep move is also not that great. There are just a few modes to the game which mean that it is quite limited in concept and execution as well.

The Samurai Shodown Sen game is an attempt of the SNK game franchise to get the 2D fighter games into a 3D mode. There are some tactical concepts that help to distinguish the game from some of its peers as well as competitors. But these good aspects are lost in poor balance, animations that are quite obscure. There are also some control choices that are not only regrettable but also quite avoidable.

Game Review: Mass Effect 2

Mass Effect was a blockbuster sci-fi game by Bioware that had a lot of followers as well as fans. It is no wonder then that the game has so many people who would like to check out the sequel in the form of Mass Effect 2 that has been awaited for quite some time now. This is a game that has quite exquisite storytelling and also exciting combat. This makes people quite interested in the game and holds their attention too. There is indeed quite a lot more to expect in the game than you can wonder about. But the problem is that it has mining tests that can test your fingers as well as patience too.

Mass Effect 2 comes as a sequel to Mass Effect which had some niggling design problems. The game had a lot of ambition as well as lots of critical acclaim also. The game had good story telling and character development as well as squad combat. This is why Mass Effect 2 has had to reinvent many of its core elements and aspects and it is heartening that the game is able to accomplish this as it is able to streamline and improve the design elements to a large extent.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City

There are some games that become a rocking smash hit and the Grand Theft Auto IV is certainly one of these. This is a game that has a crazy fan following across the globe and this is not surprising in the least given its amazing and inimitable characteristics. It is no wonder then that you see so many people coming on to the Episodes from Liberty city which is a collection from the Lost and the Damned as well as the Ballad of Gay Tony, which is so amazing as it delivers the downloadable packages from both titles in on package that is all so alluring. This is why it is quite worth the wait for it. You will find that there are quite so many aspects of the game that will mesmerize you and keep you engrossed for days.

The cons of the game are that it is rather showing its age and it also has a rather lengthy mandatory install, which is not all that great. The main reason for the popularity of the game is the elements of Rockstar that ensure that it is worth a playthrough. There are many improvements as well as new aspects that add to the zing as well as the excitement of the game that has gamers all so excited.

Game review: Double Impact

Capcom has been credited with a number of exquisite games that have delighted fans around the globe. In the case of Final Fight: Double Impact, the two classics have been married each other, which have also been repackaged such there are a lot of extras and also many options, apart from the fact that you are able to become nostalgic about these games and relive their magic. While the content may not be all that new, there are a lot of retro fans that will love the game and be riveted to it for hours. The advantage of the game is that you get two games for the price of one which is quite exciting for fans of the game. You also get lots of options and bonus material which is very alluring.

There are some disadvantages of the game also. For one, you cannot pause a live game, which is quite inconvenient sometimes. The games can also be a little short and there is also no new material which has been added in the game. But to its credit, you will find that this game does have quite a few aspects that are quite interesting. This is going to be a powerful draw for any retro fan.

Game review – Splinter Cell: Conviction

Tom Clancy has been an old hand at game design and development. He has had quite a few games that he has not only conceptualized but also executed to perfection. His latest offering in the series is Splinter Cell: Conviction, which is quite different from all the other games in the series of four, this is a stripped down game that is much leaner but much heavier in the action department, which rally suits a lot of avid gamers. There is a wonderful co-op mode and this means that you have game that is worth waiting for and playing with gusto once you have your hands on it. There are some things going well for the game. It is slick in movement and also very fast in combat.

The mark and execute function is quite a deal while the co-op story works very well indeed and you get a fine twist to the tale to add to it. On the cons, there is a feeling that it doesn’t feel like a typical Splinter Cell game, and for some people the mark and execute seems to be too good for comfort. The stealth line is sometimes too stealthy and hence hard to mark.

WarioWare D.I.Y: Game Review

The WarioWare D.I.Y game is based on the concept of using a number of rather bizarre and ridiculous ideas that have to do with game design. You get the chance to design a game in D.I.Y. mode, which is why it is essential to look at how to game runs before you attempt it. This is where it is good that the game offers a tutorial to help you with getting started off with the game. It is also a fact that the game allows you to do almost anything that the Nintendo designers do, which means that you have the creative license to do quite a lot as far as the game goes. You can actually go ahead and take a look at existing games and re-do them quite well and creatively.

As far as the cons go, the WarioWare D.I.Y game is not or the impatient as it does involve a lot of time and effort that goes into getting the game right. This is a game that has caught the attention of many folks as it has a fresh look at the micro aspects of the game. It almost seems as if the game has been developed by designers who are under the influence of some substance.
